3 Bad Designs

3 bad designs
1. Blister packages may seem useful to deter theft, but if someone really wants to steal something they will. They showcase the product well, but ultimately can be very difficult for the end user to open the package.
----------

2. Shampoo bottles seem like they would be unwieldy just because it's very slippery in the shower or bath. The pump top bottles are better designed and feel easier to use.

3. I always felt that boxes of thumb tacks were badly designed. The box if flimsy, and there's if the user isn't careful they can hurt themself.

I posted one Blister package for the poor packaging design, too. I dont like this kind of package, but can't avoid when buying technology products.

  2. Those blister packages really dont do anything to prevent theft. Someone who is skilled at opening them can do it very easlily with a knife. Although if they are caught it can be considered armed robbery.

  3. Blister packages are cheap, but they also contribute to a lot of packaging waste. Such a large amount of plastic to provide very little protection. I love your posting of the thumbtacks, i've had a box fall apart once- it was not fun.
