The first billboard seems cluttered and you can barely see the year. But the second one you can do something with. Tokyo and 2016 should be moved up, but if I were to choose, choose the second one.
use my billboard template. can we make this more exciting with the use of color? it overall seems static. that doesnt mean add a bunch of things, but perhaps size variation, color, positioning of elements can give this more visual interest.
