I like that design too. I just feel that you squished everything in and the "Tokyo" is touching the 2016 - I don't like that. Maybe try spacing them apart and making the year smaller to give a sense of hierarchy.
I like #16 and #19, because there is a lot of movement. They are working really well, maybe try moving the sun up a little more, but otherwise it looks good. And if you change your ming, do not use all caps. Good job.
I like your choice. I agree with Ferko, I would play with the hierarchy some more. Good job. Its unique in its own light yet it still has this representation of the country. Good job.
nice change from sketches. yea I'm with 16 also. i don't think you need the stars and you need to some how marry the sun n the torch. that sun has to be more wavy like the base of the torch. maybe have the sun/flame rising over the horizon but be careful not to make it look cliche.
I like number 4 but I’m not sure if the typeface fits in perfectly with the logo mark. I think you should try a thin san serif typeface that will help create a connection with the lines that come from the top.
First one is great! it caught my eye inmediately because of the colors, and also how you made it look "ahead of its time" type of thing. I had the hardest time trying to show that; your designs definitely look ahead of its time! great!
i cant get over at that it looks like a whirlwind/tornado with a sun in it. try to avoid the over decoration. The logo is too vertical overall and the descender of the y does not intersect with the 1 of 2016 in a manner that has forethought. There is too much much going on in the logo and i think it would benefit from a few hierarchical choices with the sizes between the 4 requirements. nothing here is a standout just yet and it could be better.

I like number sixteen. I like the movement that is created with the torch. I think I would move the "2016" down so it's not intersecting with "Toyko".

ReplyDeleteI like 16 too. I like the flow of the design and the colors. I might move the date down as mentioned in another comment as well.
