Ads pt. 1 and Packaging pt. 2

First up, the package designs. I moved "Language Learning Success" to the top (Used to be underneath the name of the product), made it all caps, and kearned the type a bit. Made the product name smaller, moved the letters closer together, speech bubbles a bit bigger from what they were when I first made it.

1.1: Moved the "Level 1" and "Spanish" stuff to the top. A lot of empty space in the middle I need to address still I feel.
b: Left the "Level 1" at the bottom, changed the color behind it from white to the same blue on the top.

3: Here I changed the logo a bit and changed color from blue to white background.

---------------------

And the ads! I'm not sure how this is working just yet, I might have to come up with more ideas still. The second one is the same layout, it just uses the logo from 3.

  1. All in all I like your ads, but for the second cover move the design up because there is too much negative space which makes it look like the cover is missing something, so move the design up a little bit I think you should be fine.

  2. ye, your 3d quote bubble is a great concept. i agree, the layout of the ad is a little messy but choosing a white background is a good choice. good concept with the review quotes too. the cover, im still debating the blue v white background. the blue is very playful, yet the white makes it very corporate and clean, but maybe boring. iono. have you tried a different type choice for the bubble? and is the LEVEL helvetic condensed? it feels a little awkward having Spanish wider than LEVEL.i think the horizontal roseta stone is working better than the stacked version.

  3. The hierarchy works best in the second cover. I like relation of the cover to the ad but would explore a different take. Since this is language software, it would be interesting to see some of the quotes in languages other than English. Your tagline should then revolve around convincing the reader that understanding a foreign language would become second nature to them with the help of Rosetta Stone.

  4. I think the cover looks better with the white background and the spacing and hierarchy is working better. I think the drop shadows are too dark. What if the shadows are underneath the quote boxes just using an oval-ish shape...? I think that might be what is throwing me with this design. You have this 3D look but it is restrained with a 2D shadow effect. Same for your ad. Your concept s good and I would go with the type choice in Ad #2. be careful of the edge when designing your ad, you are real close to the sides and that causes an uneasy feeling in readers.
    Good job.

  5. I like your idea of the ad page, but some of your quotes dont match up with the 3D rendering of the quotation box. Maybe change the scale of some them - to give a sense of hierarchy and to allow the eye to move throughout the page.

  6. The ad idea is great maybe just have 2 or 3 bubbles though, people don't like to read a lot of text, especially in an Ad.

I like the white box, maybe instead of using a purple bar just write language learning success in that purple. Might look cleaner.

  7. I like your first box and second ad the most. I agree with what Shant said, you should bump up the bubbles a little bit.

  8. I like the changes in colors you made a lot more. And yes maybe a few less thought bubbles in the ad would be faster for people to read the important stuff.

  9. dex.

visually its coming along. the ads are a bit busy. simplify. less bubbles.

my main concern with the package designs that may have been addressed above... the language needs to stand out way more. its too small. SPANISH needs to be more prominent and legible from a distance. would like to see color palette of the other packages soon.

great work. im still in between on blue or white bg. lets give it a few more comments to decide.
